This Flood Watch provides early advice of possible flooding within the specified catchments.
Flood Watch for coastal catchments south of Caboolture to the NSW border

Issued at 1:05 pm EST on Sunday 9 February 2020

Flood Watch Number: 6

Further heavy rainfall is likely for the coastal catchments in South East Queensland over the next few days.

Showers and storms are forecast to continue across the Flood Watch area. The heaviest falls are expected overnight Sunday into Monday, particularly across the Gold Coast and Hinterland.

Catchments across the Flood Watch area have wetted up over the last few days, and are likely to respond quickly to further heavy rainfall.

Minor flooding is possible. Localised flooding and disruption to transport routes are likely particularly in the area of the heaviest rainfall.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Pine and Caboolture Rivers

Lower Brisbane River
(Specifically the Bremer River, Warrill Creek and Brisbane Creeks)

Logan and Albert Rivers

Gold Coast Rivers and Creeks
